Working With Nature Not Against It
For almost a century biodynamic agriculture has been practiced all over the world. With a global following, thousands of biodynamic vineyards, farms, orchards and gardens in varying climates, ecological and economical settings are all working towards one goal, maintaining a balanced ecosystem, caring for the soil and native wildlife. Biodynamic farmers world wide are working with nature, not against it and making the most of the land in the most natural way possible.
So we are delighted that here in Italy we have begun a biodynamic connection with The Biodynamic Association UK. The Biodynamic Association is a charitable organization which was founded in 1929 to foster and promote biodynamic farming, not only creating an awareness but offering advice and support for biodynamic farmers.
For months, Emily our UK Marketing co-ordinator and Jess of Biodynamic UK have been plotting and planning a visit to Palazzo Tronconi.
The moment has arrived and this week Jess and Julie will be visiting our vineyard and will help us as we prepare the biodynamic preparation of horn-silica 501. It won’t all be hard work! We hope to show them what we offer here, our beautiful region as well as meeting with Italy’s leading authority on biodynamics, Carlo Noro.
Jess and Julies Adventures more to follow….
